When the customers or their designated forwarders come to claim/retrieve the goods, warehouse personnel will have them sign off on handheld devices and transmit the information to the shipping system. The system automatically checks the shipment daily. For goods that are not claimed/retrieved, the system will notify sales personnel for confirmation and delete the shipping list where the sales revenue will be reversed automatically and the invoice cancelled.
關於取回或者領回的用字，之前有同學提道：「由於retrieve應屬電腦相關之用字，所以不得在此使用」。
這邊，要給retrieve這個字一個平反的機會。
針對retrieve這個字，其實在美語裡，正式來說，確實可翻譯為取回，即to find something and bring it back。當然，若提到電腦相關的部分，也的的確確是做為，資料取回的意思，即to get back information that has been stored in the memory of a computer。重點是，如何正確的使用及表達所要說的話。
當然，我們也可以用claim這個字代替。這個字的意思是to state that you have a right to something or to take something that belongs to you。所以如果要表達的，不單單只是取回這個動作，而是取回自己所擁有，即所有權已經屬於自己的東西的話，那麼，claim或可是一個比較好的選擇。
